What To Expect From This Site

What To Expect From Us:

First and foremost, we want everyone to know that this blog was created for the sole purpose of us sharing our personal opinions, advice, and experiences along our money saving journey! We will NOT post matchups with store ads and coupons (there are several awesome sites that already do this and we will post their links on our page). We do NOT do "big hauls" on our shopping trips. If we come across a good deal we may stock up on several items, however all of our shopping trips are usually small and simple (but cheap or FREE!) We only buy a sufficient amount of things we need (typically about 6 months worth - it will always go on sale again!) or we buy things to donate for worthy causes. We are NOT shelf clearers! We do not see the need in buying 500 cans of tuna or 300 packages of noodles just because we can! Our couponing/saving style is simple yet effective. And we hope you can learn something from us on this new money saving adventure!

This page is reserved for recipes and quick and easy ideas, tips/tricks.
Everyone knows that eating at home can not only help save money, but it is also healthier for you!
Not everyone is good at cooking or has the time to spend in the kitchen doing so! You will find just some basic meal idea's that will be quick and easy and save $$ while being healthier then the drive thru alternative.

Here are a few tips/tricks on making the dollar stretch a little farther...

~ Try and always make a menu out and stick to it (browse the sales ads for the week and see whats on sale - try and base your menu on items on sale).
~ Get a good idea on what you have in your pantry and what you need to stock up on.
~Make your grocery list out ( go ahead and get out the coupons that you know you will for sure be using, but go ahead and still take your binder, you never know when u will need it).
~ Remember that cooking with a crock pot in the summer not only keeps the whole house smelling yummy but also keeps the air conditioner from running over time thus saving energy!
~ Consider Freezer cooking aka once a month cooking, this is where you cook/bake a months worth of meals in just one day, freeze them and then all you have to do is reheat in microwave or oven.

Please feel free to send us any tips/tricks, or ideas you may have and would like to share!
