What To Expect From This Site

What To Expect From Us:

First and foremost, we want everyone to know that this blog was created for the sole purpose of us sharing our personal opinions, advice, and experiences along our money saving journey! We will NOT post matchups with store ads and coupons (there are several awesome sites that already do this and we will post their links on our page). We do NOT do "big hauls" on our shopping trips. If we come across a good deal we may stock up on several items, however all of our shopping trips are usually small and simple (but cheap or FREE!) We only buy a sufficient amount of things we need (typically about 6 months worth - it will always go on sale again!) or we buy things to donate for worthy causes. We are NOT shelf clearers! We do not see the need in buying 500 cans of tuna or 300 packages of noodles just because we can! Our couponing/saving style is simple yet effective. And we hope you can learn something from us on this new money saving adventure!

WalMart

~For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.~ -Matthew 6:21

Walmart - we both actually have pretty good luck at Walmart (when the items we want are stocked!) We find that Walmart is a great place to combine coupons (ex: B1G1 and "cents off") on certain items. We typically buy body wash, deodorant, and cleaning supplies here. Here are a few tips about Walmart:
  • Walmart accepts internet printable coupons.
  • They will accept competitor coupons IF they state a SPECIFIC price for an item. They do not accept it if it's just a certain amount off (ex: $1 off Secret deodorant Target web coupon - not accepted, however, Target Web Coupon that states "Secret deodorant $1.99" is acceptable)
  • Walmart price matches!! Walmart does not require the competing store's ad, but we suggest you have it with you just in case! Walmart will not honor a price from another store after their RR's or ECB's (ex: Schick Razor $5.99 with $2 RR at Walgreens does NOT mean you should get it at Walmart for $3.99!)
  • There is no limit on the number of coupons you have in a transaction.
  • Walmart gives overage or cashback! If your coupon amount is higher than the value of your items their policy states it may be applied to other purchases in your transaction or you may receive cash back for the remaining amount!
